(Hamilton, NY – Jan. 26, 2013) Colgate’s string of single-digit losses in the Patriot League ended here Saturday when Navy completed a 59-43 win.

The Raiders suffered another sub-par shooting afternoon, finishing at 23 percent by making just 12 of 52 attempts. Navy ended the first period on a 19-4 run for a 31-15 halftime advantage.

It was Colgate’s second-lowest point total for a half this season, after the 21-9 deficit the Raiders faced against Drexel on Nov. 24. The Raiders never pulled closer than 14 points in the final 20 minutes.

Colgate dropped to 6-13 overall and 0-5 in the Patriot League.

Missy Repoli broke out of her shooting slump to lead the Raiders with 15 points. Colgate trailed only 12-11 after Repoli connected on her third straight 3-pointer to begin the game. Repoli entered Saturday’s action three for her previous 33 from downtown, but made 3-of-4 against Navy.

The Mids, now 11-9 overll, placed three in double figures led by Jade Geif’s 17. Alix Membreno added 11 and Chloe Stapleton 10 for Navy, which pulled into a four-way tie for the Patriot League lead at 4-1.

For Colgate, Kelly Reid added six points and a game-high 10 rebounds, while Josie Stockill also scored six and Paige Kriftcher four.

Colgate’s next game is Wednesday against Lafayette in a game being televised by Time Warner Cable Sports. Tipoff from Cotterell Court is 7 p.m.

Navy 59, Colgate 43

Halftime: Navy 31-15.
