(Wampsville, NY – Jan. 29, 2013) Madison County Board of Supervisors Chairman John M. Becker issued a statement on the New York state spending plan last week.
“Governor Cuomo’s Executive Budget is a prudent plan that restrains spending, caps taxes and makes some important progress in mandate relief,” Becker said. “Further, we deeply appreciate the governor’s initiative to include half of the $2 million in funding to mitigate lost tax revenue in Madison County.
“We look forward to working with Sen. David J. Valesky and Assemblyman William Magee to fully restore the $2 million dollars.”
