Students Named to Clarkson University Dean’s List

Dean’s list students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.
Evans Named to Sacred Heart University’s Dean’s List
Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Conn., has announced the dean’s list for the fall semester 2012. To receive this honor, a student must achieve a 3.6 grade average, based on a 4.0 scale. Kiley Evans of Cazenovia has made the dean’s list.
Students Named Clarkson University Presidential Scholars
The following students were named presidential scholars for the fall 2012 semester at Clarkson University.
Alexandra B. Cameron, a sophomore majoring in chemical engineering, from Cazenovia; Logan Carsten, a freshman majoring in mechanical engineering, from Eaton; Raeanne J. Clabeaux, a sophomore majoring in environmental engineering, from New Woodstock; Justin E. Gann, a senior majoring in civil engineering, from Oneida; Ellen M. Heenan, a senior majoring in engineering and management, from Bridgeport; Molly E. Ogden, a junior majoring in history and interdisciplinary social sciences, from Earlville; Anthony C. Rosa, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering, from Oneida; Shelby E. Stoker, a senior majoring in electrical engineering, from Cazenovia; and Nicole M. Verone, a sophomore majoring in electrical engineering, from Kirkville.
Presidential scholars must achieve a minimum 3.80 grade-point average and carry at least 14 credit hours.
Students Earn Dean’s List Honors from Wells College
The following students from Wells College were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester:
Jesi Unger, class of 2013, of Earlville. Jesi graduated from Sherburne-Earlville Central School and is majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology at Wells.
Paige Stone, class of 2013, of Madison. Paige graduated from Madison Central School. She is majoring in psychology at Wells and plays for the soccer team.
Bradley Murray, class of 2015, of Chittenango. Bradley graduated from Chittenango Senior High School.
The dean’s list consists of students who earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for at least 12 hours of coursework in a given semester.
Residents named to Dean’s List at Saint Michael’s College
The following local residents were named to the fall 2012 dean’s list at Saint Michael’s College, a liberal arts, residential Catholic college located in Burlington, Vt., one of the top 10 college towns in America:
Jessica Campbell, daughter of Theresa Snyder of Canastota and Ty Campbell of Cazenovia, a sophomore media studies and digital arts major, who graduated from Canastota High School before coming to Saint Michael’s; and Christine Fitzgerald, daughter of Diana and James Fitzgerald of Kirkville, a junior music and psychology major, who graduated from Chittenango High School before coming to Saint Michael’s.
Students who complete a minimum of 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 at the end of a semester are recognized for their scholarship by inclusion on the dean’s list.
Marsland Named to Dean’s List at St. Olaf College
Marci Sortor, Dean and Provost of St. Olaf College, has named Max Marsland from Oneida to the St. Olaf College dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester. Marsland is a history and social studies education major. He is the son of Charles and Ann Marsland.
The dean’s list recognizes students with a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4-point scale.
“These students have distinguished themselves among a talented and highly qualified student body,” Sortor said. “We celebrate their success in gaining recognition for academic excellence.”
University of New Hampshire Announces Dean’s List
The following students have been named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire for the fall semester of the 2012-13 academic year: Helena Krebs of Cazenovia earned high honors, and Sumire Gysin of Sherburne earned highest honors.
Students named to the dean’s list at the University of New Hampshire have earned recognition through their superior scholastic performance. Highest honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors and students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.
Students Named To St. Lawrence University Dean’s List
The following students have been selected for inclusion on the dean’s list for academic achievement during the fall 2012 semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton. To be eligible for the dean’s list at St. Lawrence University, a student must have completed at least four semester units and have an academic average of 3.6 (based on a perfect 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Gianforte Earns Fall Honors at Roger Williams University
Piper Gianforte of Cazenovia has been named to the fall 2012 dean’s list at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Piper is majoring in media communication. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean’s List that semester.
