Clark artwork(Cazenovia, NY – March 2013) The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall will host a series of exhibitions of work by seniors in the Art and Design Program. Groups of students will rotate through the gallery through Commencement on May 18. Students from the Interior Design Program will show their work through to April 2.

Rachael Clark, of South Glens Falls is majoring in interior design. She created her Dream Room Model – Outdoor Living Space, from foam core, mat board and glue.

She writes, “When assigned to model a ‘dream room,’ I knew immediately that I wanted to design an outdoor room. I aimed to create a multipurpose indoor and outdoor space that could be added on to an existing home. The existing home would open into a casual seating area grounded by a fireplace and a cooking and dining area. This space would feel open and bright due to large amount of windows and doors within the space. One would then depart through sliding glass doors, down a series of steps (lit by recessed stair lighting) and enter an outdoor room grounded by a large eco-friendly fire pit.”

The Division Program Award Candidates Exhibition – May 5 through Commencement Day, Saturday, May 18, when the Program Awards will be announced.

The Cazenovia College Art Gallery in Reisman Hall, 6 Sullivan St., is on the corner of Sullivan and Seminary streets in Cazenovia. Hours during the academic year are: Monday through Thursday, 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Friday, 1-4 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, 2-6 p.m.

The gallery is handicapped accessible.
