(Morrisville, NY – April 2013) During the months of April, May and June we will be hosting a Madison County History series featuring Matthew Urtz, County Historian.  He will be doing three different talks on Madison County.

The first one is Friday April 12 at 6:30pm.  He will focus on former residents of Madison County that impacted American History in positive ways.  From politicians and social leaders, to entrepreneurs and scientists, Madison County residents have helped shape America as we know it today.  This talk will feature photographs and the stories of some of the most influential residents Madison County has ever known. Mark your calendars now.  Stop in and get a brochure listing the dates and descriptions of all three of his talks.

Our next book talk will be Wednesday April 17 at 6:30pm. Join us as we talk about the book The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery.  Copies can be picked up now at the circulation desk.

If you can’t make the night book talk, join us for our lunch one on Friday April 19 at 12:15pm.  We will be reading The Sandcastle Girls by Chris Bohjalian.  Bring your lunch and join in the discussion.  Book can be picked up now.

Michelle A. Rounds is the Library Manager. The library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm.
