The WRight Way
(Cazenovia, NY – May 2013) The columnists at The New York Times, as well as many other national liberal commentators, have been feverishly spending a lot of time worrying about the future of the Republican Party and its impending demise.
Concern on their part, about a GOP heading for oblivion, just keeps them up at night. The days of the “once-mighty” RP are over, so they opine.
“They just have turned into a bunch of obstructionists who will attempt about anything to defeat the Obama-controlled Democrat agenda.”
“A pack of 18th-century lost causes.”
And the feigned weeping goes on at the Times, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, at university think tanks and on and on.
As if they really cared about the existence of a viable center-right party in competition with the left. Oh, for certain, the Democrats would love a “me-too” RHINO party remaining as an easy target of diversion for them to conveniently throw mud at.
How about a lap dog DEMO-Lite RP party?
The national Democrat Party (or more correctly the Progressive Democrat Party) would remain the main party of control in America. In addition to other “third” parties, there would be this small entity: a miserable, wimpy Republican Party that stands for almost nothing but would be the go-to whipping boy for the Democrats, Hollywood, most national media, academia, labor unions, trial lawyer associations, “minorities” currently in favor with progressives and numerous other groups.
The national Democrat party would continue to be (hush) dominated with big money from a rogues gallery of well-padded contributors … all the while continuing to promote itself as the champion of the middle class and the poor.
And of course the Republicans would remain the party of those Evil Rich.
The portrait you get is a Democrat Party (DP) in lock step with the leadership with little, if any swerving from the Obama-Reid-Pelosi-imposed monolith of mind and situation control. Yes, the DP has it all together and it is on the best course for world peace, love, distributing warm fuzzies, harmony and economic well-being.
That’s the whole story the national media wants you to see, and don’t you ask any questions. They have figured it out for you. No other story here! Let’s just move on.
Anybody forget to remind the uninformed that billionaires like Bloomberg, Buffett, Soros and countless others of the obscenely evil rich crowd are (hush) not Republicans? Or that untold millions are donated to Democrat causes by giant evil rich corporations?
Quick, cover the kid’s ears. Aren’t those DP ads leading up to national elections thought-provoking?
Besides inferences of starving widows being thrown out in the street, you are left to wonder if there are any Republicans left in the whole country except those few hundred individuals who are actually running for office.
I mean, any party that far behind these modern times could not have many followers, now could it?
The media help is unending for President Obama. After having another bad day at the microphone changing a story or making up stuff about Benghazi or Solindra or his mysterious past or the not-so-mysterious-past of certain of his longtime inner-circle associates or if the teleprompter malfunctions, reliable MSNBC and others race to the rescue.
“Those Republicans just can’t get past the president’s skin color … that’s the problem.”
Maybe Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas just might have something to say about that, but you won’t hear about it from the national media. Of course, most Republicans would have cheered the election of a President Condi Rice, but you would not hear about that, either.
Bottom line: The Republican party as we know it may fade away. The Republican House, of course, understands how far off track America has careened over the last four-plus years, the House majority currently being the last main bastion of resistance to the economic and social collapse of our once-great country.
The Republicans are trying to stop “Obama’s admitted FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE of America.” They take him at his word, looking at the frightening evidence of that “change” so far. Yes, the Republican Party may go away, but about half of the people in America are not about to be without a party to represent them.
No political vacuums. The Democrats probably would not like what they would get if this happened, given their reaction to the upstart Tea Party.
