Bookstore hosts star of popular children’s books
(Hamilton, NY – May 2013) The Colgate Bookstore invites children of all ages to meet beloved children’s book character Llama Llama (from the best-selling picture book series) live and in person on Saturday, June 1 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Class of 2003 Events Room at 3 Utica St. This event is free, but each family may bring a non-perishable canned or boxed food item as an (optional) donation to the Hamilton Food Cupboard.
Parents are encouraged to bring a camera and take their child’s picture with Llama Llama, who will be dressed in the character’s signature red pajamas. Children will also receive a balloon hat/sculpture and party favors to take home.
The Llama Llama books are a award-winning series by Anna Dewdney about the adventures of a young llama navigating the classic childhood dilemmas of being scared, impatient, angry, sad, shy, and reluctant to share. As always, Mama Llama provides gentle and loving encouragement and help in finding the solution to each llama problem.
