Wilson Receives Awardsfrom Clarkson University

The following local student received an award from Clarkson University at the University Recognition Day ceremony during the spring semester:

Charles Wilson of Munnsville, a junior majoring in civil engineering: Phalanx Commendable Service Award for Sophomores: A limited number of Commendable Service Awards are presented annually to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, faculty, staff and administration members who have demonstrated quality in service to their area/organization. The award candidate should be a well-rounded individual who excels in all aspects of college life and is especially dedicated to serving his or her organization.

Haflett Inducted into National Honor Society

Chelsey Haflett of Munnsville was inducted into Phi Alpha Honor Society for Social Work students during ceremonies conducted by the College of Education and Social Services at the University of Vermont earlier this spring.

Zenon Named to the Dean’s List

Thomas Childeric Zenon of Waterville has been named to the Dean’s List at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, for academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2012-2013 academic year.

Dean’s List recognition is given to those students whose grade point average is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester’s work.

While at The Citadel, Zenon is a member of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets and is working toward a degree in Criminal Justice.

Local Students Earn Degrees at Skidmore College Commencement

Skidmore’s Class of 2013, with 605 baccalaureate candidates, participated in the College’s 102nd Commencement Saturday, May 18, at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center.

The following local students received a degree:

Lucile Campbell of Hamilton received a BS degree Summa Cum Laude.

Nathan Steward of Hamilton received a BA degree.
