(Morrisville, NY – June 2013) Closures: We will be closed Saturday June 8, 15, 22, 29 for our summer hours. We will resume Saturday hours on September 7, 2013.
Tai Chi Chuan Class: Come learn Tai Chi Chuan for free with instructor Bill Snyder. Classes will be held Mondays, June 10, 17 and 24 from 6:30pm-8pm. He will resume classes on Monday September 9, 2013.
Video Game Night: Bring your handheld gaming system (DS, 3DS, or any other) OR come and play on our WII gaming system on Friday June 7 at 6:30pm. Play against other gaming enthusiasts! Please make sure any games you bring have your name on them. Feel free to bring a nutritious snack to share!
The Mystery of Muller Hill: Join Madison County Historian, Matt Urtz, for the conclusion his three part series on Madison County! He will be sharing the Mystery of Muller Hill , on Friday, June 14 at 6:30pm. He will present the story of Louis Anathe Miller, the building of his home and tries to show empirical evidence that he was/was not the King of France in exile like what has been suggested. It’s an interesting talk about one of Madison County’s most endearing characters!
Book Talk: Join us as we talk about the book, To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis, on Wednesday, June 19 at 6:30pm. Copies can be picked up at the circulation desk now.
A Rabbit’s Revenge: For years magicians have been pulling rabbits out of hats, and quite frankly it seems that the bunnies have had enough! So jump in and join Mister E, No-No the clown and Teeny Tiny the Clown for a giggle filled festivity of rabbit tricks, rabbit jokes, rabbit songs, rabbit magic and more bunny fun that you can shake a carrot at on Friday June 21 at 6:30pm! What a way to kick off the summer!
Pizza Hut Fundraiser: We will be hosting a Pizza hut fundraiser on Thursday June 27 from 4pm-10pm. It’s easy!! Stop into the library or see any trustee for a coupon and go to the Hamilton, NY Pizza Hut between the times above and buy pizza! 20% of the sales that night go to our library! If you forget your coupon make sure to mention the library or we won’t get the credit! Eat LOTS of pizza and help the Morrisville Public Library!!!!
Movie Night: Bring the family for popcorn and a movie Friday, June 28 at 6:00pm. We will be showing the movie, Escape from Planet Earth. Join us for this “lightweight, warp speed, brightly coined trifle”.
