(Canastota, NY – July 2013) The 2013 (Future Business Leaders of America) 
FBLA National Leadership Conference was held from June 27 to July 1 in Anaheim, Calif.
Four Canastota High School members, Derick Trost, Nichole Delaney, Ariel Orcutt and Jacob Fleming, attended the conference with their advisor, Elizabeth Garofalo.
While at the conference, the Canastota members participated in competitive events, attended workshops, and served as state voting delegates in charge of electing the new national officer team.
Jacob Fleming represented New York State FBLA in the Introduction to Technology event while Derick Trost represented the state in the Local Chapter Annual Report event.
While attending the conference, the members had the opportunity to visit Disney and Knottsberry Farm. Jacob completed his term as the New York State FBLA Vice President for District 7.
Derick Trost is the incoming Vice President for the district.
Nearly 9,000 FBLA members attended the national conference.
