(Morrisville, NY – Aug. 2013) Summer Reading is over. Next week I will share who graduated and how many hours they read collectively. It’s been a great summer of reading, programs, contests and more.
We will be showing the movie, 42, on Friday Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. Bring the family in for this “sports film non-sports fans can love; it’s a family film that never preaches.” Popcorn will be provided. Please note: This movie is rated PG-13 so if you are not 13 years of age, you MUST bring a parent or guardian with you or we will not allow you to view the movie.
Join us for Video Game Night on Friday Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. Bring your handheld gaming system (DS, 3DS, or any other) OR come and play on our WII gaming system. Play against other gaming enthusiasts. Please make sure any games you bring have your name on them. Feel free to bring a nutritious snack to share.
Our free Tai Chi Chuan Class will resume again on Mondays starting Sept. 9 at 6:30pm. Come join instructor Bill Snyder. Open to all teens and adults. If you can’t make it that day, he will be here again on Sept. 16.
The Morrisville Public Library Board of Trustees is looking for interested candidates to be on a waiting list should an opening become available on the board. Interested people must be at least 18 years of age and qualified to vote in the M-ECS District. He/she must be literate, a citizen of the United States and not be a convicted felon or have been adjudged incompetent. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact the Library Manager.
The Library will be closed on Monday Sept. 2 to observe Labor Day. We will reopen on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Also, our summer hours end Labor Day weekend so on Saturday Sept. 7, we will be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.again.
Michelle Rounds is the library manager. The library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12pm to 8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am to 8pm for the summer.
