(Aug. 2013) Fritz’s Polka Band (FPB) from Verona will perform again at the New York State Fair in Syracuse on Monday, Aug. 26. FPB will be doing three different shows, scheduled for
11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on the Regional Artists Variety Stage.
“We’ve been playing at the New York State Fair for over 15 years, and are truly excited about being there again,” said Fritz Scherz, band leader of Fritz’s Polka Band. “This is a fantastic family event, as we see people in the audience ranging from little kids to people well over 80 or even 90 years old! We take pride in being a band that brings generations together!
“As always, we’ll play quite an eclectic selection of tunes. And, as we’ve done each year at the State Fair since my Dad passed away, we’ll be honoring his legacy by playing some of the tunes he wrote!”
