(Verona, NY – Sept. 2013) Nearly 900 runners registered for the third annual Turning Stone Races held over two days, Saturday Aug. 24 and Sunday Aug. 25. A half marathon, a 10K and a 5K were run, starting and finishing on the grounds of the Turning Stone Resort Casino.
Managed and produced by Eident Sports Marketing, the Turning Stone Races took runners on a picturesque journey through farmlands and wooded areas of Upstate New York.
A post-race breakfast and awards ceremony was held following Sunday’s half-marathon and 10K. More than 130 individual prizes were awarded to top overall finishers and men and women of various age brackets, as well as several wheelchair competitors. All finishers received a medal for their participation.
