(Town of Nelson, NY – Sept. 2013) The Erieville Nelson Heritage Society will host “Archives and Family History Day” Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Nelson Town Office Building.
The public is invite to attend and peruse the display of memorabilia, books, photos and other rarities that pertain to Erieville and Nelson. If you personally hold items pertaining to local history you are welcome to bring them to share or donate to the heritage society. If they are “scannable” items, they can be scanned for you.
Genealogists will also be on hand for a 20 minute consultation on any family or locality. If you are working on your family history or want to get started, bring your information and research and our genealogists will help you to define your next steps in your research. This is a free service, but if you care to donate to the Erieville Nelson Heritage Society, it is much appreciated. All are welcome to attend!
