meetings(Canastota, NY – Oct. 2013) The Madison County Farm Bureau will hold its annual business meeting on Thursday, Oct. 24 at the Rusty Rail, Rte. 5, Canastota. The evening will begin with a social hour starting at 6:30 p.m. with entertainment by The Old Clay Stone.  Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. 

Greg Rhoads, Head Chef of Side Hill Farmers Meats & Market in Manlius is the guest speaker for the evening.    Madison County Farm Bureau members who have paid their 2014 membership dues will receive one free dinner; each additional dinner will cost $15.

Madison County Farm Bureau President Nate Durfee stated that the purpose of the annual meeting is to adopt legislative policy resolutions, listen to county committee activity reports and to elect members of the counties board of directors for the 2013-2014 year.

Durfee stated that the meeting is the first step in the adoption of New York Farm Bureau policy.  Members will vote on resolutions which will be submitted to the State Annual Meeting delegates in Syracuse Dec. 3-5.

The Madison County Farm Bureau encourages its members to attend the annual meeting and take part in deciding the legislative issues that Farm Bureau should work on in the next year.
