letterstotheeditorTo the Editor:

(Hamilton, NY – Oct. 17, 2013) I would like to tell you a little bit about Sue Reymers, candidate for Town Clerk/Tax Collector for the Town of Hamilton. I have known Sue for over ten years, getting together at social gatherings and working with her on various volunteer efforts.

Filling Cathy Hotaling’s shoes will not be an easy task, but I think Sue is up for the job. Sue is energetic, honest, smart and a self-starter. Her commitment to public service is borne out by her years of dedication to The Rogers Center in Sherburne and the Poolville Community Center.

When Sue chairs a committee, her quiet confidence and enthusiasm are infectious. I marvel at her ability to organize and inspire. Her list of professional accomplishments is long, and it isn’t hard to understand why. Sue is willing to work hard, she works well with others and she inspires others to do the same.

But the first thing you will notice about Sue is what will remain with you long after the meeting is finished or the party is over. Sue has a warm and cheerful smile and that smile will brighten your day.
