To the Editor:
(Oct. 2013) I’ve known Ann Jones for many years, since our now-grown children played soccer together as fifth-graders.
More recently, I’ve come to know Ann as an always-helpful, very knowledgeable official at the Madison County Board of Elections.
Ann is now running for Madison County Clerk, and I strongly support her candidacy and urge others to vote for her. She has a range of experiences in human resources positions, education, and community organizations that prepare her for the responsibilities of the clerk’s office.
She has built a usable, information-rich website for the Board of Elections, so she clearly has the sort of technical skills necessary to bring the Clerk’s office into the 21st century, with more capability of doing business online.
Most important, Ann is upbeat, genuinely kind, and a good listener –
just the sort of person to create a more accessible, customer-friendly Clerk’s office for our county.
