(Town of Madison, NY – Nov. 1, 2013) My name is Roy Kirley. I have been the full-time town of Madison Highway Superintendent for the last eight years.
I schedule work for the town highway crew including construction equipment and trucks, develop a yearly budget for road maintenance, snow plowing, truck and equipment repair/replacement and roadside mowing.
Over the past eight years I have built on my experience to help provide the town with the best possible service. I have supervised and worked with a very good highway crew with building of roads, maintenance on road shoulders and the lining of ditches for erosion control to ensure the cleanliness of our lakes and streams.
I can operate all town equipment including snow plows in case of emergencies. I have developed and shared services agreements with the surrounding towns and villages to help reduce expenses and depreciation of equipment.
I keep up to date on training to facilitate the most cost effective ways for road maintenance. I applied for and received FEMA monies for multiple FEMA events for areas affected by storm damage.
It takes more than a lot of political signs and promises that cannot be kept to be a good full-time town of Madison highway superintendent.
Your support would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Roy Kirley
