(Cazenovia, NY – Nov. 2013) The “Open Afternoon Book Club” for adults continues in the Cazenovia Public Library Story Garden on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 1 p.m. All are welcome.
This month the group is reading The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce.
Harold Fry, a retired brewery salesman, decides on a whim to walk the distance between his home in southern England and the hospice where his long-lost friend is dying of cancer. Leaving home one morning to post a letter, Fry has no idea that he is about to walk from one end of the country to the other. He has no hiking boots or map, let alone a compass or mobile phone. All he knows is that he must keep walking—to save someone else’s life.(Amazon.com)
The “Open Afternoon Book Club” is free and open to the public. Books are available at the circulation desk and all are welcome.
