(Oneida, NY – Nov. 2013) The Oneida Area Christian Churches Council will hold the annual community-wide ecumenical Thanksgiving Service at the First United Methodist Church, corner of Main and Grove Street, Oneida, on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.
Representatives from area churches will conduct the service, which is open to all area residents. Members of the Oneida Area Civic Chorale, under the direction of Kimberly Nethaway, will present special music for the service, including “All Things Bright and Beautiful” by John Rutter, “Let Us Break Bread Together,” a traditional spiritual arranged by Noah Francis Ryder and “The Lord Bless You and Keep You” by Peter C. Lutkin.
The free-will offering taken at the service will be given to the Oneida flood-relief effort, and those attending the service are asked to bring donations of boxed and canned goods for the area food pantry.
