One of the companies mailing this communication is Record Transfer Services; they are offering to send residents a copy of their deed for $83 within 21 business days.

Copies of your Madison County deed(s) are available with same-day service and most cost less than $10.     Great timing on this announcement. We have received these forms and they are quite official appearing. I was looking it over and noticed a disclaimer near the top stating that it wasa government agency contacting me. That was my first hint; The second was that it came from Chenango Count sources and my business would be in Madison County.

    Thanks for the word and I hope more notices will be sent out to the media.
