(Hamilton, NY – Dec. 2013) Come kick up your heels like young Ebenezer Scrooge at an old time Christmas dance.
On Dec. 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. Cameo Belle Events and the Colgate Bookstore will host “Mr. Fezziwig’s Ball” based on the classic book by Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol.”
The event will be held in “The Class of 2003 Event Room” at the Colgate Bookstore in Hamilton. It features traditional English Country Dancing to jolly tunes such as “Yellow Stockings,” “Comical Fellow” and “The Duke of Kent’s Waltz.”
Refreshments and literary readings will accompany the dances.
Admittance is free for those 13 years+, however, due to limited dancing space, please RSVP to http://www.colgatebookstore.com/fezziwig.
There will also be beginner’s dance lessons prior to the Ball at 3:30 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to wear period appropriate clothing or festive formal wear.
