Army National Guard Soldiers from Around New York Say Merry Christmas to Loved Ones

(Latham, NY – Dec. 2013 – Camp Buehring, Kuwait) The arrival of the holiday season overseas has not stopped soldiers from the New York Army National Guard’s 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade from wishing their family and friends back at home a holiday season greetings.

The brigade public affairs office has produced videos of Brigade Soldiers from its various units saying hello to their friends and family back home, which can be viewed online or downloaded by media outlets which have an account with the Defense Visual Information Distribution System.

Battalions that are supporting the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade are the New York Army National Guard’s 642nd Aviation Support Battalion and the Montana Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion 189th General Support Aviation Battalion.

The New York Army National Guard’s Company A 3rd Battalion 142nd Aviation  is also part of the brigade team.

The Soldiers from the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade and Company A are based in Latham, NY.

The Soldiers from the 642nd Avaition Support Battalion train at armories in Farmingdale, Dunkirk and Rochester, NY. Soldiers in the units, though, come from across New York.
