Hamilton Public Library News
By Hilary Virgil, library director
(Hamilton, NY – Jan. 6, 2014) Looking for help with your eReader device or curious about exploring digital audiobooks? Join Matt Davis, our Digital Services and Outreach Coordinator, in the Community Room on Jan. 15 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
This session for beginners will walk through how to use the FREE eBooks and Audiobooks available through the Mid York Library System. Matt’s hands-on tutorial will walk you through the process from beginning to end, so please bring the device you would like to read eBooks on and your laptop if you have one (there will be a limited number of laptops available if you do not have one of your own to bring).
Please sign up in advance for this class at the library circulation desk, or send an e-mail to mdavis@midyork.org indicating your name, phone number, the type of device you’ll be bringing, and whether or not you will need to borrow a laptop.
Not able to attend the eBooks workshop, or not sure this class format is right for you? Matt is generally available to offer technical support from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at the Library. If you have questions about our Library equipment, and digital resources (eBooks, downloadable audiobooks, online reference materials, online catalog, Wi-Fi, Public Access Computers, etc…), feel free to stop by or make reservations to meet with Matt. Please call ahead (315-280-8171) or email him at mdavis@midyork.org to confirm his availability if you are making a special trip to the library for help.
Additional information about library resources, programs and policies, as well as access to our online services, is available through the library website http://midyorklib.org/hamilton/. From the website, you can also sign up for our listserv and Wowbrary notices to receive emails about general library news and newly added materials in our collections!
