This workshop will focus on developing a business plan for an equine related business including why one is needed and how to get started. The components of business plans will be discussed along with specific things to keep in mind when writing one for an equine related business.

· pros and cons of using business plan software programs
Farm Credit East staff will offer some tips and pointers on:
What to include in your business plan.
· An overview of the financial information to be included in the business plan, i.e. balance sheet, historical profit/loss statements and projected budgets.
· Also, financial records, income tax management and risk will be covered.
Finally, you will learn how a lender evaluates your business plan and loan application. Whether you are thinking about starting a new business or if you have an existing business but no business plan, this workshop will provide helpful information! There is a $10.00 fee. Refreshments will be served.
