Utica Library(Utica, NY – Jan. 2014) It used to be a battle to get a book printed through traditional publishing agencies, but self-publishing platforms have made it easier than ever to get books in the hands of readers.

Utica Public Library is offering a computer class on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing. Students will be given a hands-on opportunity to explore how the web site works and go over frequently asked questions of self-publishing. Local author, Sam McManus, will speak on his publishing experience and give advice to other aspiring writers.

The class is free. Please register as computer space is limited.

It will be at Utica Public Library, Jan. 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Register in-person, on the library’s website, by phone 735-2279, or email jireland@uticapubliclibrary.org.
