Cazenovia library new

(Cazenovia, NY – Jan. 2014) Children ages 5-10 and their families are invited to join the fun at the Cazenovia Public Library on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m. for “Take Your Child to the Library Day.”

The afternoon will be spent among castles, dragons, knights, and royal ladies with books, puppets, and a craft for the princes and princesses to enjoy with their families.

A short story time featuring “The Library Dragon” by Carmen Agra Deedy will kick-off the event and be followed by a dragon craft and puppets for individuals to create their own performance. And, of course, the library will be open for families to explore and check out books to take home.

“Take Your Child to the Library Day” is a national campaign dedicated to bringing more children into their local libraries.  So, parents, “grab” your kids and come on over to the Library.  Everyone’s doing it!

Both events are free and open to the public and will be held in the Community Room.  For more information on these or other events at the Cazenovia Public Library, call 655-9322 or visit www.cazenoviapubliclibrary.org.
