(Poolville, NY – Feb. 2014) We are half way through a tough Central New York winter but local farmers and food producers are still busy growing, raising and creating real foods for their community. The Poolville Winter Farmers’ Market is open Saturday Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Market shoppers can expect to find these local products: farm-fresh eggs, cow, goat and sheep cheeses, butter, coffee, winter greens, potatoes, specialty baked goods, root vegetables, granola, , mushrooms, honey, beeswax, maple syrup, and pasture raised and grass fed meats including beef, goat, lamb, pork, and poultry.
Plan to visit the Market Café where guest chef Tim Hardiman of the Tailor and the Cook will be featuring his farm to table cuisine. Located in Utica, the Tailor and the Cook is dedicated to supporting local food systems by sourcing many of their offerings from CNY farms. As always, locally roasted Fojo Coffee will also be available!
The market is located in the Poolville Community Center at 7484 Willey Road.
