SUNY Oswego announces December graduates

Several local residents completed their baccalaureate studies at SUNY Oswego in December and were recognized Dec. 14 at the college’s Commencement:

Anthony Morehouse of Bates Avenue in Oneida (business administration)

Garrett J. Mutz of Broad Street in Oneida (graphic design)

Bryan Rose of Deerfield Drive in Oneida (adolescence education, cum laude)

Tiffani L. Ackley of State Highway 12 in Sherburne (adolescence education, cum laude)

Alissa A. Rifenburg of P.O. Box 292 in Wampsville (childhood education)

A student who graduates with honors is indicated by the traditional Latin phrases summa cum laude, with highest honor (grade averages of 3.8 to 4.0); magna cum laude, with great honor (grade averages of 3.6 to 3.79); and cum laude, with honor (grade averages of 3.30 to 3.59).

Local Students Named to Clarkson University Dean’s List

The following local students were named to the Clarkson University Dean’s List for the fall 2013 semester:

Jordan Yagoda of Oneida, a senior majoring in chemical engineering.

Charles Davidson of Kirkville, a sophomore majoring in civil engineering.

Andrea Riedman of Kirkville, a senior majoring in civil engineering.

Charles Wilson of Munnsville, a junior majoring in civil engineering.

Mason Gamble of New Woodstock,  a freshman majoring in electrical engineering.

Mary Longman of Sherburne, a sophomore majoring in electrical engineering.

Annika Christensen of Cazenovia, a freshman majoring in engineering and management.

Emily Gibbons of Chittenango, a freshman majoring in engineering and management.

Raeanne Clabeaux of New Woodstock, a junior majoring in environmental engineering.

Danielle Cuddeback of DeRuyter, a junior majoring in pre-physical therapy & psychology.

Dean’s List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

Jenny named to Lycoming College’s Dean’s List

Senior Sarah Jenny of Sherburne was named to Lycoming College’s Dean’s List for the fall 2013 semester.

The Dean’s List is issued at the close of each semester in recognition of superior scholarship. Students make the Dean’s List if they complete at least 12 semester hours and earn a minimum grade point average of 3.50 for the semester.

Rinaldo Named to the University of Hartford Dean’s List

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce Allesandra Rinaldo of Cazenovia has been named to its Dean’s List for Fall 2013.

Ithaca College Students Named to Dean’s List for Fall 2013 Semester

Area Resident Named to Dean’s List at Quinnipiac University

The following area resident was named to the the dean’s list at Quinnipiac University for the Fall 2013 semester:

Stephanie Staley of Sherburne

To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.

Phelps Placed on Dean’s List

Brad Phelps, a physical education major at SUNY Cortland has been added to the dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester. Phelps earned a 4.0 GPA. He is the son of Kari Phelps of Chittenango and a 2012 graduate of Chittenango High School.
