(Oneida, NY – April 2014)  Join the Oneida Community Mansion House for a nostalgic look at the past during its spring Adult Enrichment Series, “Focus on Photography: 19th-Century Collections Around Town.”  The three talks are free and open to the public.

On Friday, April 18 at 3 p.m., Oneida Community Mansion House Curator Tony Wonderley will introduce “The Mansion House Photo Collection.” In addition to discussing photography in the Oneida Community, Wonderley will share local scenes from the museum’s rich collection of more than 12,000 photographs.

On Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m., join Joe DiGiorgio, President, Canal Town Museum, whose “Historic Canastota” presentation will feature slides of the “Biograph” (the moving image) and local imagery of bygone times.

On Friday, May 9 at 3 p.m., in “Reflections from the Past: 19th-Century Photographs at Onondaga Historical Association,” Pamela Priest, Archivist and Research Center Manager, Onondaga Historical Association, brings samples of historic photos from the Association’s holdings and explains different photographic processes of the period.
