Saturday, April 12, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Pysanka Ukrainian Egg Decorating Class
Retired art teacher Linda Evans has been creating Ukrainian eggs for over 18 years. She will provide all materials and lead participants through this egg decorating process using a Kistka tool and beeswax to create Pysanka. Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch, dessert will be provided. Space is limited, so call or stop by the library to sign up in advance.
Thursday, April 17, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.: eBooks and Audiobooks Class with Matthew Davis
This workshop will focus on how to use the FREE eBooks and Audiobooks available through the Mid York Library System. The hands-on tutorial will walk participants through the process from beginning to end, so bring the device you would like to read eBooks on and your laptop (there will be a limited number of laptops available if you do not have one of your own to bring).
Sign up in advance for this class at the library circulation desk, or send an e-mail to mdavis@midyork.org indicating your name, phone number, the type of device you’ll be bringing and whether you will need to borrow a laptop.
Monday, April 21, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.: The Lightning Thief Book Party; Ages 10-plus
Join us as we travel into the world of Percy Jackson; visit Camp Half Blood, explore Greek Mythology, take a character quiz, test your knowledge of Lightning Thief trivia and more. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.
Every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.: Story Time (unless otherwise closed for a holiday or emergency)
Story time for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers is held in the children’s story room, and led by library director, Hilary Virgil. At the same time, story time for preschoolers is held in the Community Room, and led by our guest storytellers.
