(Oneida, NY – April 2014) Information technology specialist Katie McCauley from the Mid-York Library System returns to Oneida Public Library Wednesday April 16 at 2 p.m. to present a workshop on the Google Cloud,” the advanced web-based storage and office suite.

Using the Google Drive option in its Gmail service, the Google Suite permits a user to store documents, records, photographs, music and more in a secure remote database called the “cloud.” The user not only has password-protected access to and control of a personal account in the “cloud,” but also can invite other users, however remote, to share selected files stored in it.

McCauley will introduce Google Drive and Google Suite and show how a free personal account can be set up.

The workshop is free and open to the public. For more information, stop by the Oneida Library, 220 Broad St., or call 363-3050.
