(Morrisville, NY – April 15, 2014) The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its student-athletes of the week, naming Morrisville State College sophomore attack, Louie Geswaldo (Lafayette, N.Y.) the men’s lacrosse offensive player of the week for the week ending Sunday, April 13.
Geswaldo guided Morrisville State to a pair of wins across the week in conference action, tallying 16 points on six goals and 10 assists in addition to gathering five ground balls.
On Wednesday, Geswaldo tallied a collegiate-high nine points on two goals and seven assists in the win over Cobleskill, adding four ground balls to his stats on the day. He went on to post a match-best seven points on four goals and three assists in a 22-6 onslaught over Wells on Saturday.
The sophomore leads the NEAC in points with 45, having tallied 27 goals and 18 assists to date for Morrisville State, who currently sits in second overall in the conference with a 4-1 record, a 10-3 mark to date on the season.
The graduate of Lafayette High is majoring in residential construction at Morrisville State. He is the son of Vicky and Louie Geswaldo of Lafayette.
