The win is the third straight for the Mustangs, who boast a 10-6 overall record, 7-1 in NEAC action. Morrisville State wraps up the regular season schedule tomorrow on the road at Wilson College, and will await tournament seeding announced by the conference office this weekend.

Shelby Wood (Duanesburg, N.Y.) posted five goals and added an assist to lead Morrisville State, with teammate Jessica Young (Clifton Park, N.Y.) adding two scores, assisting three others.

Cassie Edmondson (Oshawa, Ontario) added four points of her own, two on goals and two others on assists, while Hunter Waldau (Central Square, N.Y.) and Kolleen Brown (Willet, N.Y.) each posted two goals.

Meagan Mack (Endicott, N.Y.) registered 10 saves between the pipes for the Mustangs, recording her third win of the season.

Morrisville State scored the opening three tallies, the first two coming on the stick of Brown before Wood added her first of the day on a free position opportunity. Lancaster was able to get on the board at the 25:24 mark to make it a 3-1 game, but that’s as close as the hosts would get as the Mustangs went on a 15-0 run over the 38 minutes to put the game away.

The Mustangs held the 36-14 advantage in shots over the Chargers, and edged the hosts 20-15 in ground balls on the day.
