(Chittenango, NY- April 2014) Mark Bailey, Instructor at Chittenango High School and students from his Participation in Government class spent an April Saturday morning at Oakwood Cemetery cleaning and raking debris from the winter snows.
Help of many hands was needed as the winter had caused considerable damage to the site. Students raked leaves and loaded a truck with downed tree limbs. More than two acres were cleaned in time for spring.
Volunteers include Alexis Courtwright, Achsah Switzer, Nick Harrington, Duncan Preeman, Louie Cianfrocco, Bud Penner, Mark Bailey, Paige Woolridge, Alex Yox, John Dullen and Emma Hill.
