Norm Dann of Peterboro is selling hop plants again on behalf of the Madison County Historical Society’s Hop Fest.  Please call Norm Dann at 315.380.9389 to purchase your $5 hop plant.

Buy your plants early and then join the Madison County Historical Society in September for the 19th Annual Madison County Hop Fest. Hop Fest weekend begins Friday, Sept. 12 with a paired beer dinner at Kenwood and Vine in Oneida.

The event continues on Saturday, September 13 on the grounds of the Madison County Historical Society featuring: guest speakers presenting programs on hop culture along with hop experts sharing their knowledge on brewing and growing hops.

Stay for the Taste of Hops: a food and beer pairing from 12- 2 to taste some of the finest appetizers prepared by Cakes and Other Goodies, Colgate Inn, Hamilton Inn, Kenwood and Vine, Madison Bistro, No. 10 Tavern, The Ridge Golf Club and Tavern and Ye Olde Landmark Tavern. Then partake in the beer sampling from 2:30-5:30 p.m. to sample some of your favorite craft breweries and new ones to add to your list.

Advance sale tickets for all Hop Fest weekend activities will be available online at the society’s website- madisonhopfest.org and at participating locations soon. Watch for special discounted tickets on our website.  There is no admission to attend the Hop Fest. There is an admission fee for the beer sampling, Taste of Hops and Paired Beer Dinner.
