(Morrisville, NY – July 15, 2014) A benefit will be held to support the relief effort of the deadly tornado that ripped through the town of Smithfield Tuesday July 8.
The benefit will be held Sunday Aug. 10 from noon to 8 p.m. at the Morrisville Firemen’s Field, corner of Union and East Maple streets.
Food, drinks, games and music is planned.
The most severe damage during the storm was along Goff Road and North Rupp Road in the town of Smithfield. At least four homes were destroyed, and many more were damaged. Numerous trees and utility lines were down.
Four people were killed.
