Summer Explorer Days on Wednesdays at 1:30 pm for children ages 5-8:
· “Bridges” on July 16—explore making a bridge and testing its strength
· “Bubbles” on July 23—create bubbles of all shapes and sizes
· “Wild Inventions” on August 6th –work together to create amazing machines and silly inventions
Family Movies on Fridays at 2:00 pm in the Library Community Room:
· The Princess Bride on July 11
· The Swiss Family Robinson” on July 18
· The Goonies on August 1
· The Muppet Movie on August 15
Story Times:
· Baby Story Time continues on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m.
· Toddler Story Time on the Lawn Wednesdays beginning July 16 at 10:15 a.m.
· Family Starry Story Time Thursdays beginning July 17 at 6:45 pm
· Preschool Story Time Fridays beginning July 18 at 10:15 a.m.
Summer Artist Series 1:30 to 3:00 pm for children ages 8-12:
· Art in the Garden at Lorenzo on July 30 –learn about the art and gardens of Lorenzo and spend time creating your own art, inspired by the natural setting.
· Bringing Superheroes to Life on August 13 –an afternoon of drawing and learning the process of creating your own comic book.
Beatrix Potter Birthday Party on the Lawn:
· July 28 at 10:00 a.m.—a celebration of the author and her beloved characters with games, crafts, and treats.
Lego My Library:
· August 4 at 1:30 pm—build a marvelous LEGO creation
Block Parties
· August 11 at 10:30 a.m.—create a structure with wooden blocks and props
