Colgate Places 12 on CollegeSportsMadness.com Football Preseason All-Patriot League Teams
(Hamilton, NY – Aug. 2014) Preseason football is fast approaching, and Colgate continues to accrue individual awards leading up to Monday’s official start date.
The Raiders on Thursday landed 12 student-athletes on the CollegeSportsMadness.com 2014 Preseason All-Patriot League Team. This comes two days after three Colgate footballers were named by Patriot League coaches to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team, which consisted of just the starters on offense, defense and special teams.
CollegeSportsMadness.com selected three teams, and the Raiders placed four players on each of the three squads.
Colgate representatives on the first team are offensive lineman Jordi Dalmau, linebacker Kris Kent, defensive back Mike Armiento and punter Nikko Armiento. Second-teamers are running back Demetrius Russell, tight end Kevin O’Connell, defensive lineman Victor Steffen and linebacker Vinny Russo. Third-team selections are linebacker Cameron Buttermore, tight end John Quazza and offensive linemen John Weber and Zac Sawin.
