(Verona, NY – Sept. 2014) The Madison-Oneida BOCES School Library System (SLS) received its third consecutive grant from the New York State Archives Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund.
The $18,473 award will allow continued training of school librarians and classroom teachers from the region on using and integrating local historical primary sources into the school curriculum. SLS will offer at least two three-day workshops under the grant; the first will be held in November.
The Madison County Clerk’s Office, the Madison County Historian and the Oneida County Clerk’s Office will partner with SLS on the grant.
