(Oneida, NY – Sept. 2014) The rich history of the city’s downtown churches will be celebrated Sunday, Sept. 14, as the Oneida Area Council of Churches presents their first-ever “A Walkabout” four-course progressive dinner at four locations. The event, held in memory of the late city historian David Alvord, features appetizers at the Oneida First Baptist Church, soup and salad at St. John’s Episcopal Church, entrée at the First United Methodist Church and finally dessert and music at the First Presbyterian Church.
There will be seatings at 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., and a total of eight Oneida area churches are working in partnership to host the event.
