(Cazenovia) This is the 27th year of the “One Sky, One World” International Kite Festival, celebrated all over the world, always on the second Sunday in October. Bring a kite to Stone Quarry Hill Art Park (picnic hill) Sunday Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to fly with the New York Kite Enthusiasts (NYKE), or make one on site, free while materials last, and watch it soar in the air overlooking the views of Madison County.
Other activities include “Bol” kite races, kite flying lessons/battles, bubble chasing and candy dropping.
Come for the day and enjoy available concessions or bring a picnic basket.
$5 suggested donation, per car.
Lyrical Simplicity: An Exhibit of Miriam Nelson’s Sculptures
Through Oct. 17 at Stone Quarry Hill Art Park: Twenty small sculptures are on display in the Winner Gallery. Five large pieces are sited throughout the Park.
The Winner Gallery is open Thursday through Sunday, noon to 5 pm. Trails are open dawn to dusk daily. Admission to the Gallery is free. A donation of $5 per car for entry to the Park is suggested.

CNY Watercolor Society Annual Juried Show
At Stone Quarry Hill Art Park, through Friday Oct. 17 in the Winner Gallery, Thursdays through Sundays, noon to 5 p.m.
The Central New York Watercolor Society (CNYWS)’s annual juried exhibit of member work, juried by internationally known artist Mark E. Mahaffey.
Admission to the Gallery is free.
A donation of $5 per car for entry to the Park is suggested.
