(Munnsville, NY- Oct. 2014) The end of August 2014 began the American Legion ninth Legacy Run from Indianapolis, Ind., to Charlotte, N.C., with more than 270 motorcycles. Madison County Commander (and Munnsville Post #54 rider) Frances Holderman was one of those riders. With rain and sunshine, they all completed the ride, which raised a total record $1 million.
Nine Legacy Runs have now raised more than $5 million for The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund, which provides college scholarships for the children of U.S. service members killed in active duty on or after Sept.11, 2001. Once again, a job well done by the American Legion Riders from across the country.
