(Morrisville, NY – Nov. 2014) From Monday, Nov. 3 through Monday, Nov. 24, we are having a Lights on the Lake Fundraiser. We are raffling off three car passes to Lights on the Lake in Liverpool. Stop in and get your ticket(s) today or see any library trustee. A $15 value. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Start or continue a holiday tradition with us. Drawing will be held the evening of Nov. 24; winner need not be present.
This Friday, Nov. 7, we will be showing the movie Deliver Us From Evil at 7 p.m. We provide the popcorn; just bring your own beverage. The library closes at 8 p.m., so if you have library business to attend to, come early. The movie will end after we are closed. NOTE: This movie is a horror movie and rated R. We will NOT let anyone under the age of 17 view the movie without a parent/guardian OR a note from your parent saying that it’s okay to watch.
Tai Chi Chuan Class meets again at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10. Join MSC Professor, Bill Snyder, as he facilitates this internal Chinese martial art. Free. If you can’t make this day, they meet again Monday, Nov. 17.
Join us at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 14, for the Blizzard of ’88 (1888, that is). Join village and town Historian Sue Greenhagen as she shares the story of an epic snowstorm that struck the East Coast in March 1888 and its effects downstate, as well as here in Central New York.
Kiddies Korner, our preschool story hour is in full swing. Come join us at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 18, for books, bath time and bubbles, and make a bubbly craft to take home. If you can’t make that day, come hear stories from books that we are thankful for at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25.
On Friday, Nov. 21, at 12:15 p.m., we will be having a book talk on The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. Stop in and get your copy now, then join us for a discussion. Don’t forget to bring your lunch.
We are having a family movie night at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21. We will be showing the movie, Maleficent. We provide the popcorn; you bring your own beverage.
The Library Board of Trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in the library’s program room. The public is welcome to attend.
We will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 11, to observe Veteran’s Day. We will reopen Wednesday at noon. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
