(Oneida, NY – Dec. 2014) The Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce has announced that the YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley is December’s Member of Month.
The YMCA of the Greater Tri-Valley has two primary branches; the Rome Family Y founded in 1871 and home to the administrative offices and the Oneida Family Y built in 1990. The Y also has a School Age Child program in New Hartford that serves 200 children daily. The Y’s mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all, and provide its members with innovative programs that nurture the potential of kids, promote healthy living, and foster a sense of social responsibility.
Beginning on Dec. 13 the Y will kick off the “12 Days of Fitness.” During the “12 Days of Fitness,” the Y will emphasize the importance of fitness especially during the busy holiday season. Daily tips, promotions and give a-ways will encourage members to stay active and provide incentives for new members. The “12 Days of Fitness” will run through Dec. 24.
