(Cazenovia, NY – Jan. 2015) The Cazenovia Public Library’s 2015 movie schedule continues with The Box Trolls, a film based on the children’s novel Here Be Monsters by Alan Snow. Watch it on the big screen in the Library Community Room on Friday, Jan. 30 at 3:15 and 7 p.m.
This film introduces audiences to a new breed of family – The Box Trolls, a community of quirky, mischievous creatures who have lovingly raised an orphaned human boy named Eggs in their amazing cavernous home that they’ve built beneath the streets of Cheesebridge.
When these underground cave-dwelling trash collectors are threatened by an evil exterminator, villain Archibald Snatcher, Eggs decides to venture above ground “into the light” where he meets and teams up with fabulously feisty Winnie. Together, they devise a daring plan to save Eggs’ family. (Imdb)
