(Oneida, NY – March 2015) On Tuesday March 3 registered voters in the Oneida Public Library’s Special Legislature Library District approved by 576 to 455 votes the proposition that calls for the construction of a $6.1 million new library facility on vacant land on Main and Elizabeth streets and permits the OPL Board of Trustees to obligate the library district to a government loan to ensure the completion of the new facility.
In addition, voters elected Jim Dieso to a five-year term on the library board by 735 votes to 31 write-in’s.
