Painters pallet(New Woodstock, NY – March 2015) An exhibit of artwork by Cazenovia High students will be at the new Woodstock Free library from March 16 through April 24.  A reception for the opening of the show will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16.  The reception is free and open to the public.  The exhibit is open during all regular library hours.

Most of the works included in the library exhibit were entered in the 2015 Central New York Scholastic Art Awards competition.  Some 5,845 works by 2,200 students representing 92 school districts participated in the program.  Forty-five students from Cazenovia participated.

Cazenovia High School art is taught by Bill Paben, Julianne Frear and Adam Reynolds.

“The library has partnered with Cazenovia High School to showcase student art for more than 17 consecutive years,” said Library Director Norm Parry. “For many students this is their first experience showing their work.  Students have enjoyed the opportunity to share their talents and the library community enjoys viewing the remarkable work the students have done.  This is a fine opportunity for the public to see the results of the school district’s commitment to excellence in art education,” Parry said.
