Morrisville State College(Morrisville, NY – April 2015) Morrisville State College will host a fun Milk Run to benefit the experiential learning activities of the agricultural business and dairy science programs on Saturday, May 2.

The event, a 5k run, walk or crawl, will begin at 10 a.m. at Bailey Hall. There will also be a fun run for kids at 10:30 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in the parking lot of the MSC football stadium. The registration fee is $10.

MSC agriculture students will be providing agriculture-related games and activities throughout the race, which supports learning ventures that enhance student learning, align students with industry, and prepare them for the global economy. Among them are trips to dairy farms and agribusinesses to learn skills to take back to their family farms and that will positively impact their agricultural futures.

Last year, students traveled to Washington, D.C., to discuss their views with legislators about bills that would affect agriculturists and the future of the industry.

The first 100 people to register for the Milk Run will receive a T-shirt. Awards will be presented to the top five winners.
