(Brookfield, NY – May 2015) The176th annual edition of the Madison County Fair will run July 9 through 12 with the 2015 theme “We’ve Got a Good Thing Growing.” Plans are underway for some new shows, contest and surprises, along with the return of some old favorites.
The Madison County Fair & Bug Country (99.7 & 101.1 FM) has teamed up to bring the award-winning Country Duo Montgomery Gentry to the Madison County Fair in Brookfield.
The Fulton Chain Gang and Skeeter Creek will kick-off the show opening night, Thursday July 9 at 6 p.m. Visit www.bugcountry.com for ticket information.
Returning grandstand favorites include the Demolition Derby with the Rollover Contest, along with the Truck and Tractor Pulling events.
New shows that are included in $3 general admission will be a Freestyle BMX stunt show and
the Commerford Petting Zoo.
Cornell Cooperative Extension will be doing Conference Judging. There will be Eat Smart NY Demonstrations and a Meet Your Farmers Presentation.
Back by popular demand is The Frozen T Shirt Contest, an audience favorite “Buffalo Barfield” and Northernstar Productions will be hosting the 2nd Annual Karaoke Contest with a chance to win a blind audition on NBC’s hit show “The Voice.”
